Importing Raw Data

The most time efficent way to start a project on Amira is by importing the raw data from the desktop versus the server

How to

1. Open Amira 5.2.1.

2. Under the file heading in the toolbar select Open Data...

3. Make sure to select all files/slices required with the file format .dat

  • The program will not be able to recongize the data if different file formats are selected

4. Select a file format: Raw Data

5. Raw Data Parameters:

  • Input: Be sure to enter the appropriate dimensions or Amira will not be able to load the images correctly
  • Endianess:little
  • Define: Voxel Size
  • Size: 1 by 1 by 1
  • Min. coord: 0 by 0 by 0
